Always unplug it first. Wipe the mask with a slightly damp cloth, brush the fur trim gently and spot clean the velvet. Do not machine wash, soak, tumble dry or dry clean.

      How does the head move?

      A motor in the base turns the head, and one button switches between three modes. OFF sits dead still. SWEEP turns slowly side to side, pausing at random so it never feels mechanical. TRACK watches for movement and turns to stare at whoever walks up. TRACK is the one that gets the reactions.

      Almost certainly. The Grump is built to fit the way nearly every modern car seat is built, and it sits where your headrest was, at the same height a real passenger's head would be.

      How does it mount?

      You take your headrest off and the Grump takes its place. Most headrests sit on two metal posts: press the small release button on the post collar, pull the headrest straight up, then slide the Grump down over the top of your seat back.
